Your day begins early in the morning, around 5:00 AM, with a representative from the airline company picking you up directly from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. Comfortable clothing is recommended, along with a small backpack for personal items and identification documents. You can ask your hotel to provide breakfast as a takeaway.

At Sharm El Sheikh Airport, an assistant will guide you to the dedicated check-in counter and help you with all procedures. After approximately one hour of flight, you will land in Luxor International Airport, where a professional licensed Egyptologist will be waiting to accompany you throughout the entire day.

Valley of the Kings

The first stop of your Luxor flight tour from Sharm El Sheikh is the famous Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs for nearly 500 years. Located on the west bank of the Nile, this valley contains 63 known tombs, including the legendary tomb of Tutankhamun, discovered by Howard Carter in 1922.

Your tour includes entry to three richly decorated royal tombs belonging to some of Egypt’s most important rulers. Inside, you will see vivid wall paintings that have survived for over 3,000 years, depicting scenes from the Book of the Dead, the journey to the afterlife, and the daily life of ancient Egypt.

You will have time to explore the temple in detail while your Egyptologist explains the remarkable story of the queen who ruled Egypt for over 20 years.

Lunch on the Nile & Optional Felucca Ride

At lunchtime, you will be taken to the banks of the Nile for a well-deserved break. There is an optional boat ride on a traditional felucca to Banana Island, offering a relaxing experience and beautiful views of the Nile with its lush green banks.

Lunch is served as a buffet in a restaurant overlooking the Nile, with water included. This peaceful pause allows you to recharge before the afternoon visit.

Karnak Temple

In the afternoon, you will explore the vast Karnak Temple Complex, one of the largest and most impressive religious sites ever built in the ancient world. Covering an area of over 200 acres, Karnak was constructed, expanded, and modified by more than 30 pharaohs over a period of 2,000 years.

The most famous feature is the Great Hypostyle Hall, an enormous forest of 134 massive columns, some standing over 21 meters tall, covered with intricate carved reliefs. Walking through this hall is one of the most awe-inspiring experiences in all of Egypt.

Your Egyptologist will guide you through the complex, explaining the religious importance, architectural brilliance, and the stories carved into every surface of this extraordinary site. As the day comes to an end, you will head to Luxor Airport for your return flight to Sharm El Sheikh.
